Set designer Tobias Blackmore started his craft at 16 as a set builders’ apprentice and before long he started assisting set designers in fashion. During this time he had an opportunity to work with greats such as Karl Lagerfeld, Nick Knight and Sølve Sundsbø. After 8 years of this valuable training, Tobias started his independent career and has been going from strength to strength since.
With a background in construction, Tobias creates intricate and bold set builds inspired by raw materials, abstract and concept art. His style and skillset seamlessly translate to all sorts of projects from traditional fashion shoots and big video productions to in-store displays and event installations. Layered and detailed, Tobias’ narrative-led work has seen him collaborate with Loewe, Selfridges, Net-a-Porter, Ganni, Levi’s, Ami, Mulberry, Re-Edition, D la Repubblica and British Vogue.
