Born in Japan, makeup artist Sunao Takahashi studied hair and makeup at the Vantan Design Institution in Osaka. Having scored a handful of solo jobs whilst still studying, after her graduation in 2017, at the age of 21, she moved to London to pursue her ambitions further. She assisted Make Up artists in the field such as Petros Petrohilos, Pat McGrath and Hiromi Ueda. Over the years the inspiration for her work has been a combination of details from nature, design, art and architecture. The balance of rawness and precision through graphic, bold colours and interesting patterns and textures all help Sunao to always bring something unexpected but timeless to her creations.
