Born and raised in Taiwan, Roy chose New York as the base for his rapidly accelerating career in makeup artistry. Originally studying shipping management, he has found inspiration and passion for makeup after helping out a makeup artist friend. Years later, Roy is working with international Vogues, Wallpaper, Rodarte, SAKS, Vera Wang and other big names in the fashion industry. With background in traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy, his style is characterised by outstanding skill and precision. Roy draws inspiration from art forms ranging from kabuki theatre to fashion trends of the 60s-90s, resulting in impactful, boundlessly creative makeup looks.
