Lancashire-born Nik Hartley moved to London upon completion of his Photography degree. Whilst living in London, Nik began working alongside renowned photographers such as Ben Hassett & Dan Jackson before his first commission, a hair story with Neil Moodie kick-started a focus on his own career.

Nik’s honest and clean approach to his photography crosses the disciplines of both fashion & portraiture, with his ability to command movement from his subjects producing uniquely beautiful images. Drawing inspiration from cinema & art, Nik’s editorial work has been featured in titles such as British Vogue, The Face, Elle, Zoo, Essential Homme & Vanity Fair, with commercial clients including Tommy Hilfiger, Max Mara Group, Karl Lagerfeld & Jaeger. Alongside his fashion commissions, Nik largely focuses on personal projects in both stills & film, most recently of which have been exhibited at North: Fashioning Identity at Somerset House.
