Born in Ecuador and raised in Belgium, hairstylist and makeup artist Karla Q Leon loves creating wearable art. With a penchant for clean and powerful styles with pops of colour, Karla finds inspiration in past experiences and her surroundings as well as the beauty and heritage of the person in her chair. Celebrating beautiful skin and diverse hair textures, Karla always challenges herself to create unique hair and makeup looks that feel personal and authentic to the talent. She is also known for creating whimsical hair sculptures and hair pieces.
Now based in London, Karla collaborates with Calvin Klein, Jo Malone, New Balance, Nike, and Flannels. She has recently keyed shows at London and Paris Fashion Weeks for brands such as MAINS and 3.Paradis. Renowned for her expertise in working with diverse skin and hair types, as well as her exceptional skill in male grooming, Karla boasts an extensive array of VIP clients, including Rita Ora, Skepta, Sampha, Central Cee, and Digga Dee.
