Born in Camden, Australia, Josh Stovell began his career at the age of 22, assisting set designers & prop masters following a string of various other jobs. Through friends of friends, Josh began working on commercials and music videos before transitioning into fashion and regularly assisting Jack Flanagan for Mario Testino. After working with set designers including Max Bellhouse, Gerard Santos, Happy Masse & Randal Peacock, Josh shifted to focussing on his own work full-time in 2017.
With a raw, organic & grungy style, Josh is influenced by travel, art & other creatives. His eye for detail, ability to collaborate unanimously, problem-solve & deal with high-pressured situations has seen him build an impressive client list in which he curates sets that feel authentic and real in his signature utilitarian style. Josh has worked with photographers such as Ben Weller, Scott Trindle, Ronan McKenzie & Nick Hudson and clients such as & Other Stories, Ralph Lauren, Orlebar Brown & Zara.
