Growing up in 5 different cities in Japan, Asami finally settled in New York where she kickstarted her career as a makeup artist by attending Linda Mason’s makeup course. Asami honed her craft assisting big names in the industry and was 1st assistant to Lisa Butler. Confident with all skin types, Asami’s technique draws from visually striking makeup to simple natural looks, working with photographers such as Bruce Gilden, Mark Peckmezian and Gia Coppola
